Fantasy Comic

So, as I have been typing about here for the last year or two; I have been working on a comic project all of my own. Writing a fantasy story, as has been my want since I first started to read...even before I started to draw in fact. I spent some of last year concepting out everything I wanted to put in, and the style I wanted to use. But mostly, I was engrossed in learning how to translate story ideas into finished pages.

The proposed project is a series of self contained books. I wrote quite a few drafts of stories that weren't quite right for the first book, but in the end (with the help my my editor David Chauvel) I found something that worked. It is currently in the contract wrangling phase at a French publisher.

So fingers crossed.

Here are some of the pitch materials:

What an inspiration. I can not wait to see these books. Beyond the fantastic art are the wonderful concepts and designs- you are creating a full-on Tim Mcburnie world here. Simply awesome.

I will be pushing pretty hard to make it happen but depends how the contract works for foreign markets etc.
I suspect it won't be sold on until the first book is finished and there is a reader response. So two years from now if all goes ahead (ugh...soooo long)
I am writing it in English first, so it's obviously something I want to do :)

I can edit it so I am less of an ass if you want :P

Cheers man! Close enough indeed!

As always, your character designs look super fantastic and the backgrounds are really beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing how you also master sequential storytelling!
